Star of the Week Picked in SAAA Monday, September 12th , 2061 So far in his young career, Owen Roméro has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Triple A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Austin Black Mambas second baseman hit at a torrid .667 clip as he collected 6 hits in 9 at-bats, no home runs, 0 RBIs and no runs scored. In the current season, Roméro has put up a .351 batting average with 26 hits, 2 home runs, 10 RBI and scored 9 runs. |
