Austin Loses Cotichini for Year
Wednesday, September 6th , 2062
Austin starting pitcher Giustino Cotichini could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Florence game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Cotichini would be out 9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Cotichini has posted a 0-2 record for the year with a 5.87 ERA. Teams are hitting .302 against him and he has rung up 21 strikeouts in 23 innings.
