Best SAAA Pitcher Announced Thursday, October 6th , 2061 A sparkling 12-7 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Lee Wood of the Monongahela Monsters put up this season. That's why the USSL Triple A rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2061 Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .221 batting average and compiled a 2.49 ERA. Wood stood out with 174 strikeouts while giving up 146 hits and 44 walks in 181 innings. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Xavier Martínez of the Monongahela Monsters finished second in voting, while Carlos Gómez of the Tortolita Drummers finished third.
