USSL Triple A Picks Skipper of the Year Saturday, October 7th , 2062 Monongahela Monsters field manager Sancho Tornero has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Monsters parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a second place spot in the Silver AAA standings. Monongahela finished the year with a 63-39 record. To everybody's delight Tornero was voted the 2062 USSL Triple A Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Tornero doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
