Hensley and Grant Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, May 7th , 2063 Yesterday at Mamba Park Kurt Hensley and Bill Grant got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Calgary Lynx and Austin Black Mambas. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Hensley will have to sit out 4 while Grant would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Hensley has collected 6 hits for the Lynx this year, 0 of them home runs. He has also netted 4 RBIs and scored 1 run while batting .261. |
