Crawford Stretches Hit String to 20 Monday, May 30th , 2061 Joe Crawford has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 22-year-old Lancaster Farmers designated hitter extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-4 as Lancaster got the best of the Tacoma Fur Traders at Farmers Field, 7-5. "Joe has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Farmers manager Young-hwan Hyon said. Joe Crawford hit a two-run home run off Bartold Aarts in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th and flied out in the 7th. For the season, Crawford is hitting at a .302 clip with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 17 runs. He has 29 hits, 7 walks and a .352 on-base percentage. |
