Farmers Griffin Smacks 5 Hits Friday, August 17th , 2063 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Dan Griffin -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Sixshooters Stadium and paced the 7-4 Farmers win over the Westwood Sixshooters. After his dynamite batting performance, the Lancaster first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Dan Griffin doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off George Louis in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
