Loons Tapley Named SAA's #1 Player Monday, June 26th , 2062 Minnesota Loons left fielder Simon Tapley walked away with the USSL Double A Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Loons fans are really behind me right now," said the 26-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Tapley batted .625 (10-for-16) with no home runs and 3 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Tapley is batting at a .389 pace this season, picking up 14 hits in 36 at-bats with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
