Wabeke Named Top Reliever for SAA Thursday, October 5th , 2045 Kamiel Wabeke said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 24 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Asheville Highlanders rising star has won the USSL Double A Reliever of the Year Award for 2045. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.56 ERA over 40.1 innings. He also had 23 saves in 35 relief appearances, 42 strikeouts and only 5 walks. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Pedro Garza of the Tacoma Fur Traders finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Jason Walker of the Richland Rails finished third.
