Manning Muzzles Gwinnett Bats Friday, August 12th , 2061 The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs met their match today in Asheville hurler Doyle Manning. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Gwinnett skipper Clarence Sloan said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 6-0 victory, Manning whiffed 4 and gave up 2 walks.
