St. Petersburg Shut Out by Kennedy Saturday, September 1st , 2063 In an outstanding mound performance, Providence Pilgrims starter Lee Kennedy fired a complete-game shutout against the St. Petersburg Thunder at Field of Plenty. Kennedy was the key to the 1-0 Providence win. The 22-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 3 hits and no walks he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." This year, Kennedy has compiled a 7-9 record with a 2.05 ERA in 19 starts.
