Baker Shines, Shuts Out Chesapeake, 12-0 Monday, August 21st , 2062 In an outstanding mound performance, Providence Pilgrims starter Scotty Baker fired a complete-game shutout against the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas at Ghost Crab Park. Baker was the key to the 12-0 Providence win. The 24-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 1 hit and no walks he allowed. "1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." This year, Baker has a 6-6 record with a 2.68 ERA in 15 starts.
