Peterson Strokes 5 Hits Monday, September 17th , 2063 After a 5-hit effort to lead Asheville's 11-2 victory over the Ithaca Fighting Imps, third baseman Kenny Peterson told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the USSL Double A-level is really something special." The 23-year-old player earned his accolades at Asheville Park with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Fighting Imps. "His swing is getting there," said Highlanders skipper Chris Sanders, who spoke glowingly of Peterson after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Kenny did that to perfection." Kenny Peterson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Peterson is hitting .282 in 2063 with 38 RBIs and 4 home runs.
