Hits Galore: Ryan Drills 6 Hits Saturday, September 6th , 2059 Martin Ryan was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Field of the Rawhides, the Philadelphia shortstop blistered the Squirrel Hill Pierogis for 6 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 21-3 victory. "Ryan was too tough to get out," Pierogis skipper Ben Cooper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Martin Ryan singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off José Contreras in the 8th.
