Asheville Wins 2058 SL AA Championship! Tuesday, September 24th , 2058 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Asheville Highlanders, that meant the USSL Double A SL AA Championship trophy. The Highlanders took a 12-1 victory over the Marquette Miners at Marquette Stadium, winning their 4th championship after taking the series 2-1. "We've got grit," said Highlanders third baseman Carlos Hernández, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
