Silva and Jones Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, July 10th , 2058 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Nuevo Mexico-Minnesota contest at Mariachi Band Shell. The Mariachis Randy Silva and the Loons Sidney Jones will have to sit out 4 and 9 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Silva has collected 14 hits for the Mariachis this year, 2 of them home runs. He has also netted 6 RBIs and scored 8 runs while batting .203. This season to date, Jones has a record of 4 wins and 3 losses with a 4.11 ERA, has appeared in 11 games and struck out 74 in 61.1 innings. |
