Durán Struts Stuff in Win Over Bethesda
Saturday, August 11th , 2057
José Durán bent a little, but he didn't break against the Bethesda Atoms. The Providence Pilgrims pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 5-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 3 walks and tallying 3 strikeouts.
"José is good at getting out of jams," Pilgrims manager Justin Moore told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
This season, Durán has worked 86.2 innings with 49 strikeouts en route to a 6-6 record and a 3.95 ERA.
