Crescent City Krewe Take PL AA Championship Saturday, September 25th , 2060 A celebratory mood filled the air as the Crescent City Krewe closed out the season with a 13-6 victory over the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas at Ghost Crab Park to capture the PL AA Championship, 2-1. Giving the Cangrejos Fantasmas credit for a hard-fought series, Krewe players said they believed throughout the postseason that their "destiny" was to be crowned USPL Double A champions. "We felt like this was our year all season long," said right fielder Toshikuni Matsuoka, who was named series MVP. "It was our destiny to win it and we did." It was the 6th in franchise history. During the Premier AA regular season Crescent City put up a 66-36 record and finished first. "They're the champions and they deserve it," said a dejected Chesapeake manager John Moore.
