García on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Northwest Territory Sunday, August 7th , 2061 It was a sensational day at the plate for Bartolo García as he led the charge to a nifty 7-5 win over the Beavers. The Redwood shortstop was pure misery for the Northwest Territory pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "García put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Robert Acker, manager for the Beavers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Bartolo García singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Robin Cecchini in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Juan Martínez in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
