Rivera Skunks Athletic Club KC, 5-0 Sunday, May 9th , 2055 The Ogallala Octopi shut out the Athletic Club KC U-21 5-0 today behind the strong pitching of Alonso Rivera. Rivera surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 8. Following the last out, Rivera appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Athletic Club KC manager Andrew Berven, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Rivera's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The U-21 skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Octopi press conference, Rivera confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.
