Un-four-gettable: Jones Hits for Cycle Wednesday, June 7th , 2062 Getting 4 hits in a game is no easy feat, but doing it to hit for the cycle is even more rare. Greg Jones of the Bompton Baby Lakers pulled it off at Ballpark of Henderson, going 4-for-6 against the Amarillo Warheads. His batting escapades sparked the Baby Lakers to a win, 9-4. Jones tallied 2 runs and drove in 1 during the game. Hitting for the cycle is particularly rare because of the different skills required - enough power for a home run, enough speed for a triple and enough patience at the plate to see at least four hittable balls. "It just happened," Jones said to reporters after the win. "Must have been fate or something, I wasn't expecting it. Heck, I wasn't even really trying for it." Greg Jones tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Rafael Balita in the 9th.
