Beaumont Shut Out by Peters Saturday, August 8th , 2054 It wasn't easy but the Bethlehem Angel Kitties made it look that way. Starter Ronnie Peters shut out the Beaumont Crossbeaus despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Bethlehem Angel Kitties cruised to victory, 8-0. Peters allowed only 4 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Up to now Peters has compiled an ERA of 4.57 with a 5-3 mark over 15 starts. He has 90 strikeouts in 80.2 innings and has held opponents to a .239 batting average. View Boxscore View Game Log |
