Díaz Stands Out in Ladue Shutout Wednesday, August 8th , 2063 Andrés Díaz of the Ladue Rams was masterful, pitching a 4-hit shutout, 4-0, against the Surprise Shockers. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Ladue manager Ricardo Varela. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Díaz had 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in the outing.
