Velásquez Sizzles, Bethlehem Fizzles Wednesday, August 8th , 2063 It wasn't easy but the Beaumont Crossbeaus made it look that way. Starter Juan Velásquez shut out the Bethlehem Angel Kitties despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Beaumont Crossbeaus cruised to victory, 11-0. Velásquez allowed only 5 hits and rang up 5 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
