Chávez, Rams Shut Out Crossbeaus, 4-0 Friday, August 17th , 2063 The Beaumont Crossbeaus met their match today in Ladue hurler Ernesto Chávez. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Beaumont skipper Dan Fletcher said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 4-0 victory, Chávez whiffed 6 and gave up 2 walks.
