Beaumont Blanked by Chandler Sunday, September 4th , 2061 Mark Chandler kept the Beaumont Crossbeaus hitters from doing much damage at Field of the Browns. Beaumont could only muster 7 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Chandler, who controlled them throughout the game. Bompton won the contest, 5-0. Chandler added 7 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Chandler told reporters after the shutout win.
