McFarland Tosses 4-0 Shutout Against Ellesmere Island Friday, August 18th , 2062 It wasn't easy but the Greenport Harbor Whales made it look that way. Starter Dan McFarland shut out the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Greenport Harbor Whales cruised to victory, 4-0. McFarland allowed only 1 hit and rang up 1 strikeout but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
