Connecting with regularity, Makeever finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Stingers rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 10-6. "Makeever was really good, we were just a little better," said Stingers manager José Pinto in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."
