Stingers Pitching Ravaged by Báez Wednesday, May 9th , 2063 No matter what the MSL Toledo Stingers threw at him, Diego Báez hit it. He easily handled Stingers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Rainbow Mermaids triumph, 13-10, at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Báez's quip, Stingers skipper José Pinto said he "would take him up on that next time." Diego Báez singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Juan Vega in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Martti Peltonen in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
