Battery Dupont Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, August 18th , 2061 It was a sensational day at the plate for Jean Dupont as he led the charge to a nifty 31-2 win over the Dirty Reds. The MSL Charleston second baseman was pure misery for the MSL Dayton pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Dupont put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Owen Kieffer, manager for the Dirty Reds, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Jean Dupont hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Chris Guzmán in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
