Pushkin Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, May 18th , 2061 MSL Charleston center fielder Vladimir Pushkin had a big day at MSL Charleston Ballpark against the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds. The 19-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 18-3 Battery triumph over MSL Dayton. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Pushkin said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Vladimir Pushkin tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th and singled in the 6th. This season, Pushkin is hitting .316 with no home runs.
