Horton Shackles Athletic Club KC Monday, July 27th, 2043 Emerson Horton hurled a fine game for the Salt Lake City Buzz at Spirits Stadium today, holding the Athletic Club KC Reserves to 2 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Salt Lake City manager Greg Keys said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 8 strikeouts and no walks in the 12-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Athletic Club KC manager Philippe Parmentier said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." Up to now Horton has compiled an ERA of 2.47 with a 2-3 mark over 8 starts.
